I know this video was made a while ago but it has been debunked that they did not use ai in the development of their game. (Which if they did I still don’t see the issue with that)
As far of what is KNOWN, they did not use AI Art for the Pal designes they were made by an Artist who made Pokemon-like creatues and Pokemon Fanart in the past. They only said they used AI. And i am 100% confindent they used it to help with coding the game considering they had no experiance with the unreal engine. It is much easier to generate some working lines of code with AI then getting good looking 3D models of Pokemon-esk creatues.
DAMN, these dudes are late. Creator of the rumor admitted a few days ago he edited the scale and blender and made it up because the game promoted animal cruelty.
Yeah it’s been a week so expected some controversy to be started by the media but people are so tired of the same dang Pokémon game every year with a new name that we’ll take anything new and shiny lol. Oh and what’s not to love about guns 🤣
There’s no issue with this, the models aren’t the same but inspired by…which Pokémon was inspired by other cartoons and games. The name isn’t an issue either that’s just false. The game as of now has ZERO evidence of AI generated art, but more people are digging to find out, also this game has been around for a while infact it had many closed betas through the last 3yrs and Nintendo knew about it and couldn’t do anything about it because of fair use.
Pokémon and palworld share one common thing, that’s human/animal hybrid things and animal inspired things….so yeah there’s gonna be some common looking things, like you can only design a snake like creature so many ways or a stingray, or wolf…
STEAM requires the use of ai to be very plainly stated. There is no mention of ai anywhere for the game or its development so it was NOT used in any way shape or form or else the game would not have been allowed to sell on steam. This shouldn’t even be a conversation at this point due to the answer being a single google search.And regarding the Pokémon copyright bs, you mean to tell me Nintendo has a way to copyright irl animals? Like “standard sheep” can be copyrighted? Good luck with that Nintendo
This is a made up controversy. It doesn't exist - a game came out, the game is good. That's it. Sure pokemon could have done this game but they were never gonna get there.
Keep going around about this but Nintendo is so much litigious that if it actually had a leg to stand on it wouldn't have been released at all it would have been stopped in development and they would have to pay a big wad of money to Nintendo
The real question is who cares. Who cares if they used ai. Who cares if they copied some pokemon. The game is fun, smooth and leagues better than anything Game Freak has put out ever.

Ai art imposter is a game about spotting the ai art, that the goal of that one. Plus, using the words from back then, do we know if it was ai
