Robot steady cam operator.
I did a production where we needed to do long, one take shots through a giant mansion. . And we had a steady cam operator that couldn't make it through one     See More ere going too far or something. We went upstairs, downstairs. It was giant rooms and we wanted to do all these shots in one take. My point is, that is a perfect argument for a robot operator. Could do long shots over and over and hold the camera in any position. Heck you might even get it simply to watch the human do the shot and ingest the footage & then could repeat it as close as possible. Over and over.
Sort of a stunt camera operator.
So it seems very possible.
You could even program a style for the robot to follow. Yikes it sounds better and better. Well sort of. You could have it do Kubrick style camera work or Spielberg or Hitchcock camera work.
In the end you could probably just ask it to do whatever you want with the camera and then say, "give me ten percent more" and you'll probably get exactly that.
Could be another great tool.
Then again robots may end up being PA's, grips lighting sound. As long as the robot motors are quiet enough.

Crew Robots
Making a film? Call the film crew robots! They can watch the set over night like security. Many jobs will become jeopardized by the robots. But no workers-comp to pay for, no breaks, no smoking, no lunches no caffeine.
I don't know.. these robots sound a lot cheaper and probably will become more productive that a human could.
