Technically I could just hand the interface to the sales staff since production staff already use the interface for deposits, but I'm pretty sure I'd be out of a job. After the first two months I knew it was just a matter of time so for the last 3 months I've been looking for a different job while collecting a paycheck for basically doing nothing. If ai transforms jobs, it will do so briefly before it fully takes over the job. Anyway, I'm gonna start making inventory systems tailored for smaller companies for a fixed price. I imagine it would be better than paying every year for the lisence. Not to mention that this will be much more user friendly.    See Less

No industry is immune to job loss due to innovation of technology, even by their own doing. Back 40 years ago a lot of jobs were loss due to computers and spreadsheets, accountant, bookkeepe     See More st their jobs. Engineers like myself many years ago who used to draft by hand engineering drawings lost their job because of CAD., there’s a lot of people who lose jobs that work in the oil and gas industry when the market goes down and when companies find out that it’s easier and cheaper to have less people do more work for the same output. It’s no different than any other scenario. I’ve been through plenty of layoffs and downturns, and have always found a job with my skill set and degree. The only good thing that’s gonna come out of this, is the overinflated ridiculous salaries that are 3 to 4 times higher than my 16 years of technical engineering experience will hopefully act like a market correction and help cities that have a high cost of living thanks to tech companies that overpay their employees. compared to everybody in the city who can barely afford to live in Seattle or California because we don’t make 500K we barely make 100K with 15 to 20 years of technical aerospace and mechanical engineering experience that has worked for the government, DOD, commercial airline, automotive, and so. It’s crazy because my responsibilities have to be accurate and precise because people’s lives are always at stake but yet our salaries don’t compare to someone who just gets out of college or doesn’t graduate to make 300K a year. They’ll find a job or create their own job. They just have to get used to the lifestyle not being so well off with their big sellers anymore.. I don’t know why software engineers are crying and whining about losing jobs because the AI. There is plenty of times I told mechanics that I was gonna take their job on the manufacturing floor because they wouldn’t do their job correctly and didn’t care. Survival of the fittest again the industry is immune to a downturn and job loss.    See Less
